Form of Violence Violence against women and girls

Brief Description

In attempt to address the crimes committed against women by the former regime, Libyan women who had been the victims of violence or raped in the war of independence are considered war victims.  Those women are provided with medical and psychological care, and all forms of financial assistance. They will be assisted in their efforts to take legal action against the perpetrators and bring them to justice, and ensure the perpetrators do not escape punishment.
