In 2009, in cooperation with UNFPA, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy organized a campaign against domestic violence entitled: "A real man never hits a woman!"
The concept of the campaign focused on the role of individuals who are physically active in preventing domestic violence. This campaign involved men, i.e. successful athletes (a footballer, boxer and a handball player). A spot was produced which was broadcast on national television and radio stations, and there were brochures, flyers and billboards prepared in Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish and in the Roma language.
