Integrated GBV Management Centers

Brief Description

Integrated GBV Management Centers (CIPEC) have been established in the Atlantic, Borgou and Zou departments. These different interventions have led to an increase in the number of visits to SE/VBG: from 29,719 visits in 2014 to 3,527 visits in 2017. This has also led to an increase in the number of new cases opened each year at the level of the SE/VBG: from 10,855 opened in 2014, this has risen to 1,088 in 2018. In 2015, Integrated Centres for the Care of Victims of Gender-Based Violence (CIPEC-VBG) were commissioned in Cotonou, Parakou and Abomey in 2015 by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Microfinance.
