Special Law N° 15-003 of 3 June 2015 on the Creation, Functioning and Organisation of the Special Criminal Court

Brief Description

Through this law, the CAR has created a Special Criminal Court with a robust mandate to prosecute and convict the main perpetrators of crimes and violence against girls and women. The intervention of this court will have the advantage not only of prosecuting and convicting the perpetrators of these crimes, but also of deterring potential aggressors. To date, all the necessary steps have been taken to make this court operational, and investigations into all the offences within its jurisdiction will soon begin.
