Qualitative Study on Violence against Women and Children

Brief Description

A qualitative study was carried out by the listening services support project implemented by ASCOBEF and financed by the European Union in 2018. According to this study, violence against women and children is not yet leaving the domain of the unspeakable; they are still largely silenced, on the pretext, it is said, that the events that occur within the family unit are a matter of educational freedom or the privacy to which everyone is entitled. The causes and consequences of violence against women and children are numerous and there is a growing recognition that it is a complex problem whose solutions must be sought on several fronts. It is important to better understand the perceptions of violence, in order to identify a certain number of causes and consequences that will then make it possible to develop a program that guarantees effective protection and care for all women and children.
