Brief Description


The Ivorian Constitution adopted in November 2016 reaffirmed the principle of equality between all human beings and prohibits all forms of violence or discrimination based on gender, race, religion, ethnic or social origin. Article 5 states that : “Slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, physical or moral torture, inhumane, cruel, degrading and humiliating treatment, physical violence, female genital mutilation as well as all other forms of degradation of a human being are prohibited.”
