Workshop on Services for Victims of Gender-based Violence

Brief Description

In April 2019, a training workshop on caring for victims of gender-based violence was held at the Union Nationale des Femmes Djiboutiennes (UNFD) and organised by the Ministry of Women and the Family with the support of UNFPA. The target audience for this training session included some fifteen social workers from various sectoral ministries, the UNFD, the police and the national gendarmerie. The session enabled participants to acquire basic knowledge of the package of essential services available in the event of gender-based violence, including female genital mutilation, and the reflexes to adopt for the implementation of the national protocol for the care of victims.
