The Ministry of Social Affairs and the Advancement of Women (MINASPROM), held a seminar to provide information and raise awareness about cultural and traditional practices that violate women’s rights, targeting 118 representatives of civil society organizations (women’s and social organizations) and 64 delegates and advisers from the Ministry and from neighbourhood communities in the district of Malabo, the nation’s capital. Its primary objective was to provide information, raise awareness and make the participants conscious of the issue, so as to elicit their commitment to women’s human rights.
