Mediation and Women’s Counselling Service

Brief Description

The Mediation and Women’s Counselling Service provides a trustworthy environment for women to report ill-treatment and domestic violence, and family, juvenile and examining magistrates’ courts are contributing to efforts to combat violence against women by factoring in aggravation in cases where the victim of violence is the perpetrator’s spouse, in addition to recognizing the offences of ill-treatment provided for in the Criminal Code.
