Adoption of UN Standard Operating Procedures for Prevention and Management of Gender-Based Violence

Brief Description

In order to ensure a humanitarian crisis that is gender responsive, in 2017 the Government with its partners, adopted the United Nations Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for prevention and management of Gender Based Violence and also for the protection of sexual reproductive health and rights in humanitarian situations. These SOPs were developed through a collaborative process that includes UN agencies, government and non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, and representatives of the community affected by the events.
