Brief Description

The main objective of the National Committee on the Eradication of Harmful Traditional Practices (HTP) is to identify harmful traditional practices committed on women and vigorously work towards their elimination.

Different HTP-eliminating committees have been established at every level in most regional states. These committees undertake frequent studies on HTPs practiced in their respective jurisdictions and hence try to get rid of same by awareness-creation and promotion campaigns throughout the community concerned.
