National Strategy and Action Plan for the Elimination of Child Marriages

Brief Description

A national strategy accompanied by an action plan for the elimination of child marriages was developed and validated in 2018 with the objectives of reducing by 15% the prevalence of child marriages and early pregnancies among girls aged under 18 by 2023 and protect girls and adolescents aged 12 to 17 from child marriage and pregnancy, in villages and districts across the country.
