National Action Plan on Gender Based Violence

Brief Description

The Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation with the financial support of UNFPA and GENDER-LINKS and in partnership with civil society organizations and other stakeholders formulated a National Action Plan on Gender Based Violence in 2008. The plan focused on the following key areas: legislation and policy services, socio-economic, cultural and political rights, public education and awareness, integrated approaches and budgetary allocations.
