The Civil Service Human Resources Policy Manual describes sexual harassment in the workplace as constituting a type of sex discrimination, that could occur in the work place or at work related events, and defining it as unwelcomed sexual advances, request for sexual favors and other conduct of the sexual nature such as unwelcomed verbal, visual or physical advances that tend to create a hostile intimidating or offensive work environment.
