Administrative Data on Gender-Based Violence

Brief Description

Under the Gender Based Violence (GBV) information management system established in 2015, 1,462 reported cases of GBV were recorded by GBVIMS users. In 2016, GBVIMS recorded 2,164 reported cases of GBV and in 2017, 2,882 reported cases. It should be noted that in 2017, the area covered by GBVIMS only constitutes 21% of the national territory. In total, between 2012 and 2017, 12,825 cases of GBV were reported by the GBVIMS and the GBV Sub-Cluster in the areas covered by the participating organizations and structures.
