Action Plan to End Sexual Violence during Conflicts

Brief Description

The alarming number of cases of sexual violence committed in conflict-affected areas of Mali called for an urgent and joint response from the Malian state, the United Nations, and civil society. Since January 2021, more than 900 cases have been reported by service providers in Mali, almost half of which concern girls under 18 years old. The validated action plan covers the period 2022-2024 and contains five strategic axes. These are: Prevention and community mobilisation; Protection; Access to multisectoral services; Fight against impunity; and Monitoring/evaluation and coordination.
