National Action Plan to End Violence Against Women and Girls

Brief Description

The National Action Plan to Combat Violence against Women and Girls in Mauritania adopted in 2013 was implemented from 2014 to 2018. The measures of the Plan are based on the following four strategic axes:
- Strengthening the legal, political and institutional framework
- Organisational capacity building
- Information, education and communication to change attitudes towards attitudes towards domestic violence
- Support and social integration of victims of domestic violence
