There is one shelter run by the National Children's Council, a parastatal body operating under the aegis of the Ministry, which provides temporary accommodation to victims of domestic violence and their children. The Shelter also caters for children victims of abuse and neglect. The Shelter is serviced by social workers and psychologists to meet the needs of the victims and to provide psychological counseling to enable them to overcome their trauma following problems related to domestic violence.
In addition, there are two shelters run by non-governmental organisations, which provide services for victims of domestic violence.
