Brief Description


The National Observatory on Violence against Women which is a national tripartite mechanism which includes the relevant Government sectors, civil society associations and university centers for research and studies. This mechanism is a framework that establishes and embodies the government's participatory approach with all actors involved in combating the phenomenon as a strategic option to monitor and trace its various forms and dimensions. Its principal mission consists in monitoring and vigilance through the compilation of institutional statistical data, to deepen knowledge of the phenomenon and open discussion about it. During its first mandate (2015- 2018), the Observatory produced two annual reports containing data and recommendations to address the phenomenon.
