The goals of the Joint Programme to end gender-based violence (208-2011) are:

To contribute to raising awareness about the gravity of gender-based violence, to enhance the prevention and protection efforts as well as services provided.
To further strenghten its impact by involving men and women at all levels of planning and implementation and by coordinating efforts of all interveners.
