Article 31 of the Constitution adopted in 1993 and amended in 2011 includes the following provisions: The State recognises the right of children and young persons to special protection in view of their immaturity and vulnerability and to ensure effective exercise of this right the State undertakes−(c) to ensure special protection against social and economic exploitation and physical and moral dangers to which children and young persons are exposed.
