The Seychelles do not have specialised courts dealing with violence against women. However, the Family Tribunal administers the Family Violence (Protection of Victims) Act of 2000. Women formed the vast majority (91%) of the 239 survivors of spousal violence accessing this service in 2010. The Tribunal offers protection orders to victims of family violence.
