According to Article 10.9 of the Southern Sudan Police Service Regulations in the 2010 Code of Conduct, in conducting investigations, police personnel shall make every effort to ensure the confidentiality of complaints, complainants and witnesses, especially when conducting interviews related to sensitive cases such as sexual assaults, sexual exploitation or abuse in private. Whenever possible, police personnel will use desks established within police stations for the protection of vulnerable persons in investigating these cases.
