Brief Description

While there is no shelter dedicated to victims of domestic violence, a non-governmental organization “Hour Glass Foundation” operates Hero House and arranges emergency housing for three to five days for victims of domestic violence. This programme utilizes the homes of volunteers for the placement of persons in need of emergency accommodation.

The Directorate has recently collaborated with Hero House enabling the extension of services to skills training and the provision of a building
