Brief Description

Ontario launched the EqualityRules public education campaign in November 2006 that teaches youth aged eight to 14 about healthy, equal and respectful relationships to help break the cycle of violence before it starts. The campaign was launched with a television and cinema advertisement and includes an interactive Web site ( As part of the campaign, the province also provided more than $1.2 million to 14 community-based programs that promote healthy, equal relationships to youth and the adults who influence them.
