In November 2013, the province of British Columbia realeased its Status Report: "Safety and Security of Vulnerable Women in British Columbia", in response to the report of the Missing Women Commision of Inquiry, which had examined the conduct of police during investigations of missing women cases in British Columbia, and concluded in December 2012. This Status Report provides an overview of activities undertaken by the province since the conclusion of the inquiry in three broad categories: 1) safety and support for vulnerable women; 2) effective and accessible justice system; and 3) legacy and healing.
