National Plan of Action on Violence against Women 2014–2019

Brief Description

In 2014, the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity launched the National Plan of Action on Violence against Women 2014–2019 (Plan Nacional de Acción en Violencia contra las Mujeres 2014–2019) in 2014 as a national strategy aimed at preventing, punishing and eradicating violence against women. This Plan includes four strategic lines of action: (i) prevention of violence against women; (ii) articulation and strengthening of the care system; (iii) access to justice and effective sanction; and, (iv) information and knowledge on violence against women.
