According to Act 19 Section 27B of the Immigration and Passport Act (Amendment), a person is guilty of an offence of human trafficking if that person assists any other person to enter or leave Dominica in an unlawful manner. A person who is convicted of the aforementioned offence is liable to a fine of one hundred thousand dollars, to imprisonment for seven years, or to both the fine and imprisonment. The law is also extended to people who aid, facilitate or in any way support or encourage any other person to commit such offence and upon conviction the person would be liable to a fine of twenty five thousand dollars or imprisonment for three years.
