Brief Description

Article 54 of the Constitution adopted in 1999, and amended in 2009, includes the following provisions: No person shall be subjected to slavery or servitude. Traffic of persons, in particular women, children and adolescents, in any form, shall be subject to the penalties prescribes by law.
