The National Study Report on violence against women in Armenia developed in the frames of the Combating Gender Based Violence in South Caucasus Project/UNFPA is of utmost importance. Although more analysis of the issues concerning violence against women in Armenia is required through further research, the findings of the Survey have a potential to be used as a strong advocacy tool for incorporating gender sensitive approaches into the existing state policies. The Report is also remarkable due to the fact that it represents the dynamic and concrete collaboration of UNFPA and the Armenian government in the efforts to eliminate violence against women in the country.
