With the financial support of the UNFPA, Kingdom of the Netherlands and the European Union, a three-year project has been launched in Azerbaijan to combat selective abortions of the child, to give value to girls in the family and society, and to combat gender-based violence. The project is being coordinated by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Within the framework of the project, a number of trainings were held for media representatives, young boys, young fathers, men and women. Special public service announcements (PSAs) were prepared along with advocacy events to increase the efficiency of message dissemination.
