Women and Children Helpline Service: #1098

Brief Description

A toll-free helpline (1098) for women and children was set up in 2017 at the National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC) to increase access to protection and other forms of support for women and children. It is managed by trained professionals who provide online counselling and referral services to those in need 24x7. Similar toll-free services are also available with the Royal Bhutan Police [RBP] (113), CSOs (Nazhoen Lamtoen, 1257) and the Ministry of Health [MoH] (112).
