Brief Description


Bhutan Pilot Project on Gender-based Violence (GBV): the Gakey Lamtoen, which focuses on primary prevention, was launched in December 2018. This project engages adolescents and caregivers in Babesa community to address the root causes of problematic social norms that lead to Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). This project is a partnership between the National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC) and other national stakeholders and is part of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) global project Ending GBV and Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
