As part of prevention of violence programs suggested in the second National Action Plan to Prevent Violence Against Women 2014-2018 (NAPWA II), the Positive Parenting Strategy and Toolkit was developed in 2015 and piloted from 2016-2018 by Ministry of Women's Affairs (MoWA) and development partners, to promote non-violent forms of child discipline and protect children from violence practices.
