Brief Description


The Code of Conduct to Prevent Sexual Harassment in Public Sector has been prepared by the Commissioner for Administration and Protection of Human Rights in collaboration with the Gender Equality Committee in Employment and Vocational Training (GECEVT) . The Code of Conduct was approved by the Council of Ministers in July 2018 and all the public authorities are called to cooperate for the implementation of the code, with emphasis to their obligation to take measures for the prevention and the handling of harassment and sexual harassment. The code aims to prevent and handle such phenomena as a disciplinary offence according to the national legislation, in order to succeed the implementation of the equal treatment principle and the respect of the human dignity. The Code of Conduct defines harassment and sexual harassment as a form of gender discrimination and gender based violence, that offence victims’ dignity.
