In March 2019, with support of the Council of Europe, a joint three months training course has started for representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs on issues of violence against women and domestic violence. Distant learning will be held through HELP e-programme of the Council of Europe and it aims to assist representatives of the law enforcements to get acquainted with the European standards for human rights protection. Trainings course developed by the Council of Europe aims to enhance the quality of the response to cases of violence against women and providing victims with access to justice during prosecution of accused persons. The course consists of 7 modules and covers international as well as European legal frameworks, standards of Istanbul Convention and Case Law that aims prevention of violence against women and girls and their protection from violence.
