The High Commission for the Advancement of Iraqi Women was founded at the suggestion of the Prime Minister of Iraq, who asked all ministries to work in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of State for Women's Affairs to boost the work of the High Commission. The High Commission includes representatives of all State ministries and was formed further to a decision of the Cabinet, providing for the restructuring of the High National Commission for the Advancement of Women.
