The National Council on Domestic Violence was established to work on the prevention of violence by spouses and support for the victims/survivors of such violence. It consists of representatives from both the public and private sectors and is attempting to promote the sharing of information by organizing lectures by experts, and other methods. Model activities aimed at providing support for victims of violence who are attempting to support themselves are being commissioned from private organizations.
