The Strategy was based on the current National Strategy for Women in Lebanon (2011- 2021). The areas of action of this strategy have been adapted to the strategic objectives of the new sustainable development plan for 2030 and Lebanon's global commitment to the goals of sustainable development. The national strategy covers 12 priority areas: poverty, legal reform, power and decision-making, education, the economy, gender-based violence, health, culture and information, environment, peace, security, crises and disasters, and institutional bodies.
