Training syllabuses at the Centre address the issue of violence against women by examining the provisions of the criminal code that prohibit and punish such violence. The syllabuses also cover the prohibition contained in the provisions on personal status in the Family Code, which draws on the Islamic sharia and sets forth legal regulations in favour of women. The syllabuses further examine the prohibition on violence against women in human rights law, which comprises women's rights and seeks to protect women from all forms of exploitation and harm, including violence.
