Brief Description

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has a guideline requiring Investigation Officers to give advance notice to victims or social workers before the release of a family violence perpetrator from police custody. This aims to prevent a recurrence of violence by giving the victim or social worker more time to make safety plans, e.g. alternative accommodation, where necessary.
