Rehabilitation Centre for Victims of Violence

Brief Description

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, in conjunction with the Japanese Embassy and overseen by AWRD (a non-governmental organization), provided premises for women subjected to violence in the form of an integrated centre where women victims of violence are rehabilitated through vocational training.  The centre also offers counselling services and in 2008 it handled a number of complaints of violence via a hotline, as well as various other cases in which it provided protection for the women concerned and dealt with their situation.
