In order to enforce the Protection of Victims of Domestic Violence Act, B.E. 2550 (2007), the Office of Women's Affairs and Family Development, in collaboration with the Institute of Research and Counseling, Thammasart University and the National Commission on the Protection of Children has decided that all health professionals, as well as social workers, who are currently working in the Operation Centre for the Protection of Victims of Domestic Violence, must receive intensive training on how to incorporate the implementation of the new Act with the implementation of the Protection of Children Act, B.E. 2546 (2003). The training is mandatory and is required to be completed should officers wish to renew their working license.
