National Committee for the Suppression of Human Trafficking

Brief Description

Established by the Council of Ministers Decision No. 15 of 2007 on the establishment of the National Committee for the Suppression of Human Trafficking. Chaired by His Highness the Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and including as members representatives of a number of competent Government authorities. The Committee is charged with periodically taking stock of and following up human trafficking issues with the competent authorities and supporting and encouraging the establishment of additional refuges for woman and child victims.
