Shelters

Brief Description

There are currently nine (9) shelters for women victims/survivors of violence and their children, most of which are located in the Capital District. Those shelters offer legal and psychological counselling, court representation, training and rehabilitation. All of the shelters currently in place are managed by civil society institutions. However, the Ministry of Social Affairs has developed a policy to establish five (5) shelters for women victims of violence in the context of the fourth five-year plan.
