Forced Marriage and Abduction Coordination Point

Brief Description

A Forced Marriage and Abduction Coordination Point was set up in 2017 and was tasked with the national coordination of cases of abduction and return to Austria, the advising of those affected, the creation of information material for helpers and those affected, and training sessions, networking events and other prevention work. A cross-departmental working group on Abduction and forced marriage was also set up under the leadership of the Orient Express Association in October 2016 for networking and professional exchange.
