As part of the fifth plan to mobilize and fight against all violence against women (2017-2019), the authorities have expanded the offer of local support and guidance systems for women victims of violence. 125 day care centers for women victims of violence within the couple and 202 reception, listening and guidance centers in 100 departments have been funded to the tune of six million euros. The plan increases the working hours and sets up a day service and reception and orientation within local listening places. There are now 327 identified in 100 departments. In addition, 260 social workers in police stations and gendarmerie units are listed in 96 departments, an increase of 81 since 2016. In 2018, the State Secretariat in charge of equality between women and men increased €120,000 in the subsidy paid for their operation, in order to recruit three listeners with the objective of achieving a response rate of 100% (compared to 79.7% in 2018, with 53,255 calls handled out of 66,824 calls handled). That same year, it also increased its grant to associations fighting against sexist and sexual violence by 400,000 euros, for an amount of 5.06 million euros, an increase of 21.3%.
