The Report on the Situation of Women's refuges and the Support Services for Women affected by Violence and their Children showed there is a dense, highly differentiated network of support facilities for women affected by violence and their children: over 350 women's shelters and over 40 safe apartments with places for more than 6,000 people, which offer protection and counselling for roughly 15,000 to 17,000 women and their children (i.e. approx. 30,000 to 34,000 people). In addition, there are over 750 specialist counselling centres, which offer qualified counselling and support for women affected by violence.
