Brief Description


Article 7 of the Constitution adopted in 1975, and amended in 2008, includes the following provisions on violence against women: Torture, any bodily maltreatment, impairment of health or the use of psychological violence, as well as any other offence against human dignity are prohibited and punished as provided by law.
