Throughout Lithuania, the Specialised Assistance Centers (SACs) provide specialised, integrated assistance to people experiencing domestic violence (more than 80% of those who have experienced domestic violence are women). If necessary, the SACs cooperate with the State Children’s Rights Protection and Adoption Service, their employees, municipalities, sub--municipal areas and other institutions. In order to provide specialised complex assistance, the SACs’ funding has increased from 168 thousand euro in 2012 up to 750 thousand euro in 2018.
